In the formative years of any organization, there are
individuals who play a pivotal role during the incubation process.
The SF Flying Eagles organization would like to thank and recognize the
following individuals for their contributions:
Our dream was to form an organization, responsive to
its membership, with a focus that was broader than simply life in and around
the basketball court. Those goals are embodied in the Mission Statement,
which appears on the home page of our website. I am especially proud of
the information on our Community page, as SF Flying Eagles members involve
themselves in community service activities.
Bill Gray, Boys' Athletic Director of Terra Nova High School, for providing
the SF Flying Eagles with its first practice gym in the organization's
- Julie Lau, past President, SF Enchantees, Ray and
Nancy Lee, Founders, Sacramento Warlords and Gerald Shimada, President,
Foster City Flyers. These individuals, and many others at similar organizations,
provided early stage information, ideas and cautionary comments on how
to go about starting and running a new organization.
- Gary Matsumura, President, San Jose Zebras Organization
and Steve Yoshioka, President, San Jose Ninjas Organization for their
help in the logistics and planning of the SF Flying Eagles first hosted
tournament (coming in Fall 2006).
- Wilson Sun and Arthur Yan, co-founders of the SF
- Lorraine Fong and Wilson Sun, our paperwork pushers,
who took care of all the administrative matters, in advance of our first
year of operation
- Paula Lum-Concepcion, Wilson Sun and Geraldine
Toy, inaugural SF Flying Eagles Board members.
